APECS Canada & Arctic Science:
Peer Review Workshop

On Wednesday, April 3rd, APECS Canada and Arctic Science co-hosted a Peer Review Workshop as part of our ECR Reviewer Program. We had over 80 participants register online and a dozen more joined us for an in-person viewing hub at Université Laval.

This interactive session provided early career researchers with an overview of the peer review principles and practices, from receiving a peer review invitation to writing a review. The workshop included breakout rooms for a chance to participate in hands-on exercises and receive real-time feedback, and we also touched on Open Science, equity and inclusion in publishing.
We aim to provide a brief summary of the event and some additional resources in the coming week.
